Great ship, sorting a few niggles would make it superb.
"
Cruise director Elvis was good - Disco Inferno and Latin Fiesta particularly - but sometimes should let things go with the flow instead of interrupting and distracting from the music. The famous 'promenade' layout of RCI ships is here, as copied and improved upon by MSC recently, but the experience on Explorer is still very good.

The pre-cruise customer service was abysmal. I called to schedule a transfer from Venice airport (Italy) to the cruise terminal in Ravenna Italy. I was arriving on Friday, the day before the cruise. First they said they only do same day transfers, but later in the conversation said they could do it on Friday but there was a waitlist. They were suppose to follow up with an email but never did.

First time cruising and had the best experience. Beautiful cruise and would definitely be booking again. Staff were so polite and helpful all day every day, always cheerful and smiling. Never failed to put a smile on mine and my family’s faces. Went so fast, but best time. Food was amazing and in the windjammer you are welcomed by someone know as ‘ washey-washey ‘ who makes everyone’s day better

Our expectations were low b/c we didn't enjoy our last RCI cruise 15 yrs ago, usually cruise Celebrity/Azamara/ Holland America, but friends invited us along. We were pleasantly surprised by the dining room experience. The food was quite good, the ship is extremely lively, the staff wonderful, esp. at Guest Services. The app takes a little getting used to, but was helpful. We could only get a

We just took our first cruise with kids - a 11 month old and 4 year old. We were unsure how it would go, and it overall it went really well! But kids will be kids whether at home or on vacation. I'll share a few details below as it specifically pertains to cruising with these little ones. While preparing for the cruise, I found it really difficult to get specific details on some questions I had

My boyfriend and I booked this cruise as our annual vacation & to celebrate his birthday. We had the absolute best time. The slides are SO FUN and had no issue finding seating the days when we were cruising. BUT, what really made the trip amazing was our cabin attendant, Iwayan and the BEST BARTENDER in all of the high seas, Dahlia!!! Even though our port was changed from Haiti to their private

We had so much fun on Explorer Feb. 4th -9th sailing. What I enjoyed was the diversity of people on board. I love seeing little ones enjoying. The entertainer we booked to see playing in Schooner's, Perry Grant, could not be there last minute and I was so disappointed. David, who filled in, was a laugh and a half. And we were all surprised when fellow passenger asked to sing along and stole

Not the best RC cruise I’ve experienced

I choose this cruise as it was a “sisters” cruise and the timeframe was perfect. Getting to embarkation was harrowing! I can’t blame RC but the port of Miami needs to seriously address the ingress /egress and congestion. It took an hour to go the 4 miles from the hotel to the port! We had the Key, so once we arrived- we quickly boarded. Lunch for Key in the MDR was just ok. I was

The overall cruise was disappointing. I ordered room service almost everyday on the cruise ship and each time the food was cold. They give you leftover fries and wrap them in plastic after they warm it up. Room service took about an hour each time I ordered and food was still cold.. food selections are horrible.. no real restaurants besides the steak house. Beverage Drinks are made up for you

We were originally scheduled for February 2020 and again in 2021 but they were both cancelled due to COVID. Finally getting our itineraries together this time schedule worked perfectly. We enjoyed 99% of the trip. The staff was wonderful from customer service, room attendants, wait staff, spa personnel, and doctors all going out of their way to make it a joy. Great excursions and plenty to do
